MOORING INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
We'll keep your mooring in good working order
These two links are from the same mooring chain. The thicker link is from the area near the surface, the worn link was found near the mooring block.
Anytime a wave goes by, the UPPER links move up and down with limited friction. The LOWER LINKS however, get lifted and set down with every wave. When they do, the links lightly "jingle" against each other. This isn't a huge deal, except that it happens hundreds of thousands of times every month, resulting in the type of wear and tear seen in this picture.
We will inspect and assess your mooring, and address any maintenance issues that could threaten the security of your mooring. We can even shoot HD video of the whole thing so you can check out the problem areas for yourself.
